My son is going to be a scientist. Right now, he’s enjoying his internship at a science lab near our home conducting important experiments to further genetic research. He told me that it’s required that they all wear safety eye protection with lenses that are at least 1 mm thick. The glasses should wrap around. in case of any chemical spills – splashing will be less possible if the lenses fit tight and wrap around the sides of the eyes. I think this is a wonderful opportunity for him. I know it will lessen the chance of any accidents if he’s wearing the right eye protection.
